most of the times on the visors if you look at were it mounts on the car you will see a small screw this is a set screw and if you tighten it just a little bit it should hold your visor up for you. but not all vehicles have a set screw as iam talking about. and if the impala dosent you need to get a compleat new visor
hope this helps you out

The "post" mounted into the roof/headliner has a plastic "cap" cover over the screws, I believe. If not simply remove the screws and drop the visor down...it may have a wire that connects power for the vanity mirror...just find the tiny clips and disconnect. I'd look for the visor using a junkyard "landline" search-first. Trim pieces like visors can be difficult to locate depending where you live in the country. Dealer-sourced, expect to spend $$$ per visor

What does you new visor ends look like that will replace the old ones. maybe they will give you an idea on whatyou can't see in the roof and help you understand which way they come out. Just a thought, Raz

Hello. here is the instructions for removing the sunshade.

there are 2 or 3 screws at the outside where the base mounts. If you cant see the screws then the cover has to come off to get access to the screws probably torx. remove the two screws unplug the electrical connector and reverse the process to mount it make sure the screws are going in straight dont strip if it is machine screws
