2003 Lincoln LS v6 in d3 drives normal seems like the transmission is slipping, then thrust hard and jerks while driving during acceleration. I think it may be a transmission problem but I'm not sure. Need some advice please?

There's common concerns with the transmission shift solenoid packs, valve body in the 5r55s tranny this vehicle has...not a cheap repair. Sometimes a simple reprogram of the p.c.m and t.c m could take care of it, but if tranny fluid hasn't been regularly replaced, every 30,000 miles, chances are bigger concerns...recommended bringing to reputable repair shop. .

SOURCE: no pick and get jerks during driving

Just got the same problem fixed myself. i thought it was the coil but turns out to be spark plugs and split breather hose in the engine!

thottle positioning sensor? if trans has overdrive could be a lock up piece, dont remember name of it. there is a lucas oil product that might help. if it is the overdrive.

You shouldn't hear the fan too much while in the car. It won't start to run until certain conditions are meet. Try leaving the A/C Off or put it on Auto and hit the A/C buttom off. I don't know how hot, the ambient air temp is, where you are.
Your not talking HAVC Blower inside are you?
I have a 2004 V8 and the radiator fan is quiet

I would have to say it is bad gas. You choose premium but what did the person before you choose? The way they have the pumps set up today there is always a hose full of fuel left from the previous user because the hand control is designed to shutoff when a drop in pressure is sensed. This also assumes the pump wasn't malfunctioning and although you picked Premium it pumped a different grade of fuel.

Jerking when accelerating


we cant drive car, so jerking is not clear to a non driver.
see>?
first off , ill guess there is no odd noises.
and that means jerking can be 2 things (sure more but)
engine jerks, does it only?
or transmission slips then stops slipping resulting in a jerk.

Rear end slipping?


Differentials are direct-drive devices -- they cannot slip.

This really sounds like erratic shifting taking place right at the shift point. Gentle acceleration is the trickiest shift for an automatic. When accelerating harder, the transmission shifts more abruptly, which is a much easier shift to complete.

2003 honda civic you drive on the street with D or


Drive the vehicle in "D". The D selection is the overdrive. You can consider the overdrive as a fourth gear. The D3 is simply third gear, and if driven in D3, the transmission will never shift into overdrive when needed.
