How do i install a clutchkit for ford falcon xr8

Sounds like you have a bad synchronizer in the used gearbox, the best solution would be to find another used gearbox.

Whatever it is is being oil starved. Need to change to heavier oil.

I know this is going to sound like a dumb question, but are you sure the transmission is bolted to the engine crankshaft ? Can you tell if the crank is turning the torque converter ? And did you reconnect all of the wiring for the engine and trans ?
Dennis and I are in the US and you are in Australia ( I presume) so we may not have access to info for your specific car.
There may be someone on the website that does have that info.
