Sounds like a front main oil seal leaking...have seal checked, always get a free estimate before any work is performed, so you will know how much the repair will be...take to another and another garage for estimates...good luck

First check fluid levels --power steering--oil--transmission --if power steering low or out pump will sequel look for blown hose or seal----if oil is low or empty than look under around oil filter [hole damaged or blown gasket ] spraying on belt causing sequel if not filter than trace oil leak possible oil pan damaged or gasket crack or head or valve gasket-----if trans low or empty look at pan- gasket ,or damaged check trans cooling lines to radiator-----these are your leak areas under hood your oil pump is internal in oil pan and you usually dont hear it

How do i fix the whining noise my 2009 kia sorento makes

may be your power steering pump whining. Check fluid first, then if it's up, start the car up and have someone turn the wheel back and forth a few times. Listen to see if there is more or less noise when this happens. Does the noise go away after it warms up?

Have a belt sqealing and antifreeze in the engine

Hi:
There is a good chance your waterpump bearings failed, and your belt was getting dragged over the drive pulley. Since your engine got hot, the impeller that moves coolant could have broken, so you should investigate that. The coolant could have leaked out the weap hole on the front of the water pump.
