This is probably a clutch problem on the compressor, either buy a new clutch or get a second hand compressor and swap the clutch over.

Is the camshaft turning? open the oil filler cap and have someone try to start the engine. You should see things moving.

the engine doesn't like the extra stress of the air con unit being run _ there is no way of fixing this _ unless you get a full engine overhaul or a secondhand engine and installed _ the engine is old and the extra pressure on it with the aircon it just cant handle it

1992 ford tx5 when turn on a/c rpm up and down

This is often a problem with low Freon and the cut-out switches. There is also an ISC or idle speed control inside some intake manifolds which is made to smooth out idle. Sometimes the air passages which the part fits in will soot up and stick.

For those with an ISC, WD40 will clean the part if it is sooted up.

Low idle & vibration at idle

I don't know if this will help. Had a similar problem with a 99 Blazer.
Would drop to between 300 and 500 rpm at stop signs and red lights, would stall and shake.
Did all the same checks, replaced mass air flow sensor, replaced cam sensor, cleaned the fuel injectors but the problem was still there.
Replaced both #1 and #2 O2 sensors in the exhaust pipes and now the vehicle runs fine. The idle is back to a steady 750 rpm in all stopping conditions. The Mass air flow sensor and Cam position sensor get information from the O2 sensors.

Picanto air con

Hello Sir:

not sure that I have a solution yet but I do have a few follow-up questions.

1. Is the airflow diminished from what would normally be expected? If so, open the Glove Box and remove the rubber stops on either side. Lower the Glove box so that access to the air inlet filter is gained. Remove the plastic securing clip and remove the air filter. Clean or replace as necessary. Also, run the fan with the filter removed. Does the airflow get better? Has the sucking sound disappeared?
2. Start and run the engine at idle; select the air condition fan on "low." engage the AC switch and note engine idle rpm: it should first drop momentarily and then increase. If the RPM does not drop, suspect the level of Freon in the system as below operational pressure limits. Most air condition systems shut down when the refrigerant pressure drops too low.

happy to answer any further questions and apologies for the delay.

Overheating problem, what is the most probable cause?

You need to stop using it immediately before you
cause some damage or more than you may already have
That is just common sense. It should not overheat or
be any different than it was in the past without problem

The car has to be checked over/diagnosed,tested,etc for
various issues to resolve

Borrow or Rent a car until resolved

No way to guess at the problem

You should have some type of codes avail even
if the check light isn't on,you need professional help
to get a start on resolving

The timing belt maybe worn & jumped or the head gasket
bad.

Over heating isn't usually a cheap repair unless the thermostat
sticks partially closed

The RPM moves around the car is 11 years old,so it may just
need a though going over

Timing Belt,O2 Sensors,Exhaust Converter,Spark Plugs
and such

If you depend on a repair shop to do things & don't
have the knowledge to request work done throughout
the year, then you run into a lack of proactive preventative
maintenance situation. Most things are simple looking
back, once resolved

the a/c pulls it power from the engie, so the engine need to be in good operating condition. it may need a tune-up to maintain its rpm level.

Engine stops while running.

Hey Pince,
the issue would revolve around what slows down while you are slowing/stopping - reducing engine RPM's...... (alternator, battery charging). A GOOD mechanic should be able to diagnose this issue,, take it to a (older) qualified professional... (older=more experience).. good luck..
