There must be a short or a faulty horn switch on the steering wheel, as the air bag is housed in the wheel i would refer to a workshop manual as to how to safely remove the wheel ,follow this link foe a nissan pathfinder steering technical document the info you need will be contained

The clock spring in the column might be the culprit. Verify if the lights or cruise controls are effected also.

It is very possible you can call your local Nissan dealer give them your VIN number and they can make you a new key. When you go to pick it up make sure you have proof of ownership of the car and your driver license I'm sure they will ask for it

Would it be better to just run a wire from the horn & get anuther horn for the inside of my truck because this is starting to sound expensive

Sure just connect the existing horn wire to new horn. Make sure there is a good ground connection. Then try the horn, if it works you're in business. If not, then the horn strip in the steering wheel is bad.

Reset tire monitor on 2009 escalade

Hopefully you still have you manual. I will tell you how to reset the HHR, I found it in my manual. Turn the key to on, press lock and unlock at the same time on your key fob. The horn will beep twice telling you that you are in program mode. The left front turn signal light will come on, press the valve core letting air out of the left front tire. The horn will beep when left front is programmed. Then the right front turn signal will come on, let air out till horn beeps. Then right rear, same procedure then left rear same procedure. When that is done horn will beep twice again saying tire program is complete. Turn key off, make sure you air all tires back up.

I have a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder and when I go to lock my car the lights blink, the doors lock, but it doesn't beep anymore. Any suggestions of what may have happened?

most nissans can turn this on and off. press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the remote together for 5 - 10 seccons, until the horn beeps or the lights flash. thats the way to set them on most nissans

A yellow light just came on on my 2008 Impala. Its a circle with an exclamation mark. What does it mean?

Tire pressure monitoring system. Start by checking your tire pressure and set to what the sticker on the drivers side door frame indicates. If this does not turn the light off you will have to re-learn the sensors to the vehicle. This is done by:
reset the tire pressure monitoring system, to do so, you need to get your key fob, and put your ignition key in the ignition, turn it to the accesories position, and simultaneously press the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob. hold them until the car honks the horn.

then take something to let out air in the tires, you need to start with the left front then go to the right front, then the right rear, then the left rear.

start at the left front, drop the pressure in the tire until the horn beeps, -usually takes 8 seconds or so. then repeat on the other tires in the order above.

After you finish with the final tire, the horn will honk again, then you know your done. usually honks 2 times.

and then you can turn the key off, and set your tire pressures.

Lights stop blinking & horn doesn't beep when I lock the car

Press and hold for 2 seconds the LOCK AND UNLOCK buttons on your "keyless entry" keypad. The hazard lights will then blink 3 times and the horn will sound once- you are now good to go.;
