I have a 2001 F-150. Tried starting it yesterday. No go. While it almost turned over, I gave it just a little tap on the gas which probably flooded it. What do I do now?

Hello Ross...have your battery charged and load tested to ensure it is taking a charge and providing adequate power to start your vehicle.

It sounds like a battery problem or a charging system problem. If your battery needs a charge and you get it charged up and tested and its good... then you can focus on the regulator/alternator..these are the components that keep your battery charged up during regular day to day driving.

'87 truck. Why won't it crank or start?

Alternator died. Jump it, get it started then remove the cables. pull the negative cable off the battery. If it dies, replace the alternator.

The battery light on the dash came on 4 days ago on my 2000 Ford Expedition (5.4 l), but still ran ok for a day. The next day, started car, then the radio shut off and I turned off the car and tried to...

When your battery light comes on it is telling you that your ALTERNATOR is not charging your battery! So you need to replace the alternator.

You can verify that it is bad by taking the car or just the alternator to an auto parts store and having them test it for you for free.

first you half to determine if the alternater is working. you do his by jumping the car and while its running take of the neg cable off to the car if it dies then you know the alternater is not working properly,
if it stays running you know you have a electricalen short you half to trace down
