First thing to do is check vacuum lines and hoses. Especially the one that goes to the brake booster, given your situation. Could be plugs and / or wires too. Let me know how it goes.

Why does my pontiac grand am gt 2002 car jump hard when I put it in drive and then it jumps a little going into first gear. I was thinking it was the mtor mount.

Motor & Transaxle Mounts --- may be the issue
If so--- replace them--- all
Put your foot on the brake & put into fwd & rev, while
someone looks under the hood at the motor movement
Have them off to the side & torque the motor some against
the brake
Also check cv axle joints--- once the mounts are taken care of

I have a 2000 pontiac grand am gt the service vehicle soon light is on had it scaned reading says nothing is wrong what should i do??

Pontiacs have there two different indicators and as you might have guessed the Engine light has to do with drive train components, fuel system, exhaust sensors etc.

The Vehicle indicator has more to do with body components such as light bulbs, braking systems, traction control etc.
Scannerd the right module to know about this fault code stored there.

Keep us updated.

I have a 2000 grand am gt 3.4l and when i go to stop, as i slow down, the car seems to **** forward and backward slightly as i hit the brakes. would this be my rotors possibly?

Sounds like warped drums or rotors
( shaking when hitting the brakes )
Need to check complete braking system, just in case you have a hanging caliper or wheel cylinder ( if it has drums, that is in back )

How to bleed abs system on 2000 pontiac grand am gt

It's better to bleed around the car but easier to do it from under the hood. If you bleed from each wheel you start from the wheel furtherest from Reservoir..Have someone pump brake, Hold it, and release purge valve (have a tube in a transparent bottle of of brake fluid) so you can see the bubbles. Keep doing until you reach reservoir side

Car only start for a second

sounds like you a major vacumm leak which would cause this problem. you can take a can of brake cleaner and spray differant places over itake area and if the idle picks up and smooths out you should be able to find the leak.

Wheel makes rubbing sound when driving slow

You should check the dust shield on the caliper. Sometimes they get bent inward especially if driving in deep snow. It is just a thin piece of sheet steel that protects the inside of the brake rotor. Hope this helps.
