Car dying while driving

My car is dying in the middle of me driving. It has even done it on the freeway going 70 MPH. It doesn't do it all the time but it does seam to be getting more frequent. It also seams that it does it a lot more often when it is warm outside. I was told by the dealership that it was the fuel pump, so I had it along with the fuel filter replaced. The very next day it continued to die. I took it back to them but of course they wanted more money to diagnosis the problem. Only three of the times I saw a light of a key that was circuled with a line through it come on after it died. The check engine light never comes on and it is not reading any codes.

My 2001 mazda tribute dies while driving. And blows the fuse to my radio. It will stay on as long as I press the gas pedal but come to a stop light it will die, it will die at a stop light even after...

Hi,this could be a lot of things,I would say to you to first service the car,you need to get these parts done first so you can liminate these from the problem, some times a service with a tune up sorts the problem out,if you cant afford to have it servised then try just changing the spark plugs and air filter,as if the filter is derty when comeing to a stop the fuel air mixture will be wrong so will stall,if spark plugs are worn then when the car comes to a stop the sparkplugs will get wet and stall, hope this was some help.

Just got a 2000 Plymouth Breeze last week (Feb 11th, 2015) Twice now on the freeway going about 70 mph my car died. No signs just died. I was able to restart it right away, and no warning lights.

An owners manual wouldn't help you much in this case. And neither will a shop. If you can't make the problem happen on demand, its going to be tough to diagnose.
Usually if it quits and starts back up, its something electrical, but that could include dozens of components, including the key switch and several relays.

Died on freeway just lost power and wont start also over heating

What car? What happened as to oil/water thrown out? When was it last serviced? How many miles has it done?
My guess is the head gasket has gone. This would give most or your symptoms. Get good DIY help or a garage.

i have been a technician for many years and even a new motor if built properly should be able to be driven hard right from the start they are trying to blame you for their mistake don't accept that even if you have to have someone else look at it

Several things can cause a car to die. The fact that you don't have any engine codes eliminates some of them. First thing you should try if you haven't is change the fuel filter. Make sure there are no damp, or damaged electrical components. It could be faulty spark plugs, or wires, or a vacuum leak. Check carefully under the hood for vacuum leaks. With the engine running, wiggle all the vacuum hoses around and check for cracked loose or broken hoses. They will make a hissing sound when you find it. A stethoscope, or a length of fuel line held to your ear can help a lot. Check all intake bolts for tightness too. Good luck.

1997 Honda Civic dies while driving but will restart

It sounds like your car needs a good solid tune up. It sounds like the injectors are fighting to get fuel so the slower you go the chances of you stalling is even greater. And the faster you go the fuel system is just getting just enough fuel that the car needs to keep running.....I hate to say this but it sounds like you need a tune up.
