Question about 1991 Ford F350
I assume you are talking about a 1991 ford f350. if so i believe the blinker switch or blinker switch fuse is located on the fuse box underneath the dash board. you'll have to remove the dash board "belly pan" to gain access to the fuse box. the blinker fuse is a shiny square "odd" looking push in fuse. i believe it has a small aluminum casing on the fuse itself.
it could also be a fuse relay witch is located under the hood on the driver's side fender well, but i'd check the blinker fuse first...

your socket may not be grounded properly, I have seen this before, and the simplest way to fix is change the socket with a new one.Not another used one it may also be bad.
