Question about Ford Explorer
Need to know mileage and what year explorer is...Is it an electronic odometer..?..It is relatively easy to remove cluster to gain access to the component you want to inspect ..It may be wise to take to a Ford dealership to have it scanned..They can tell you the reason it is inoperable...Then you can get a complete cluster from eBay cheap if needed...However if it is gear driven by cable from trans it could be a stripped pin that fits inside end of cable where it is mounted to the trans,a broken cable internally or in a lot of cases I have seen cable vibrate loose from the back of odometer behind instrument cluster and also vibrate loose where it connects to trans...If it is gear driven check areas that I have described...Hope this helps...send more info if you can.....If not Good luck..Thanks ofof
