If you take the cover off the fuse box and look under the cover it will give you a placement diagram for all the fuses and relays in the fuse box. Look for one called radio, or stereo or aux 1 or 2 and replace with the same fuse, do not use a fuse larger then what is recommended on the fuse box and you could destroy internal circuitry or wiring to your radio

Radio stopped working

Check to make sure your Volume is turned off. you did not say if the POWER is not there.

Check to see if you burned out a fuse

Test the Radio with applying power, if you apply power and it still does not work, then you are going to install a new aftermarket Radio and be grateful for it later.

Some Radio's have a FUSE inside, you could have also an Inline Fuse.. Check the Power at the Fusebox FIRST... then work your way to the Radio.

It could be a 1 minute fix

I have a1975 jeep it was a postal jeep i want to add a sterio and some other stuff but i need to install a nother fusebox how do i do that?

Glad you did not try to overload the existing connections. You want to put in a fused line close to the Battery. Doing this will protect things at the earliest possible position of trouble.

When you run the new line through the firewall, use a protected grommet to prevent chaffing. Use dumb gum or a silicone sealer to prevent exhaust fumes or water from entering the cabin through the grommet opening.

Use a fuse holder scaled to the size of fuse and wiring to match the fuse load. You will need a Relay to hook to your Ignition circuit. You may have an extra slot in the fusebox for the overhead lights some Postal vehicles used. This is your trigger wire.

The Trigger wire will go from a protected Igniton slot on the fusebox and it will connect the Relay to the Battery.

The use of a Relay allows you to connect 2 high-powered wires using only a minimum Trigger wire that is automatically controlled by the Ignition key. Then mount a small additional fuse block inside the cabin to provide smaller fused locations for the additional circuits you wish to add.

Be aware that the sum of the fuses in the new fusebox does not exceed the fuse size in the main lead. Maybe use a 20 Amp Main fuse and this will provide you with 4 5AMP circuits or 2 5AMP and a 10AMP position.

The Relay should be Automotive or Marine quality, but the wiring and fuse block can be from Radio Shack or a place like West Marine.

Also keep in mind that these are Postal vehicles and may not have big Alternators capable of much power.

I hope my solution is helpful.

How do I change a fuse on Mitsubishi Colt?

a 2006 model car has colored half in by eighth in , blue red yellow green. they have numbers on the edge facing you, that show there limit, and should be replaced with same number always.
"fuse box" is usually black plastic and marked FUSES , a diagram of fuse location and sizes is usually on inside lid. FuseBox is usually located at drivers left foot wall. also possibly under hood.
some fuses will reset auto if battery is disconnected for 10 min. but! then the Radio must Usually be Reset

Could you tell me which fuse it is on a 2005 citroen c3 that operates the radio and fuel computer in the center of the car in the dash please

The fuse no.# 8 - F8 (20A - yellow colour) placed in the dashboard fusebox in BSI - on left bottom side under a plastic cover. The number of the fuses are indicated on the fusebox. The no.# 8 - F8 (20A - yellow colour) is the ninth fuse counting from the left to the right.
Before replacing the fuse no.# 8 - F8 (20A) you should ascertain the cause of the fault and have it remedied. Replace the blown fuse with one of the same rating (same colour).
F8 (rating 20A - yellow colour) = Digital clock - Radio - Display
