You need to follow that lineset back from the plug, and check for any pinches or breaks, next go to your fuse block and check the fuse for your shift solenoid

My 2001 Chrysler pt cruiser will not start we have replaced the ecm ignition coil thermostat battery and low fan relay it doesnt even really roll over its kinda a quieter ticking when you turn the key im...

Have you tested the battery? You may have a bad starter solinoid.
Or a relay from ignition to the starter solinoid. And or bad connections to starter solinoid. The solinoid can be tested if the
battery is good, by a jumper from positive to the small terminal that controls the internals of the solinoid.

My acura tl 2003 is stuck in park

Your gearshift has a "solinoid" that keeps the gearshift in park until criteria is met..I.e. Brake is engaged, seatbelts etc. It's my guess you have an issue where that solinoid is not getting power or has gone def. If you have access to a test light, pop up the cover where the shifter is turn on the key step on brake and check power. If there is none your issue may be a bad brake or possible neutral safety switch. If you have power then the solinoid is the culprit.

Why wont the ignition key turn to the off position

sometimes you have a solinoid in the barrel for unlocking the transmission or shifter and so on you might have a short to the solinoid leaving it on so you cant turn switch off or the oposite leaving it off could be no power or direct power to solonoid so check fuses and wires under dash is there a car starter installed this to could cause bad connections

I have a 91 k1500 ext. cab 4x4 and my 4 wheel drive wont engage . what all could it be?

SOLINOID ON FRONT AXLE IS MOST COMMON PROBLEM. CHECK FOR POWER ON BLUE WIRE AT SOLINOID ON FRONT AXLE. KEY MUST BE ON WITH SHIFTER IN 4X4. CHECK FUSE FIRST I THINK IT IS THE SAME FUSE AS RADIO.

I just changed my solinoid on my starter for a 1995 ford e150.when i hook up battery cable it immediatly starts running the starter. is it hooked up wrong or would a switch be bad

it seems like you could have the 12v power wire from the battery connected to the wrong terminal on the solenoid. or there could be a short to power in the switched power wire going to the solenoid. test the wiring, the smaller gauge wiring should have no 12v positive signal with the key not turned to the start position.

Ford au 01 xr6 falcon, engine stopped while driving, now has full power in battery but engine wont turn over

does it clcik? turn on your headlights and try cranking the engine over, if the lights don't dim then your wire to your starter is not recieving power to the starter solnoid. there is a round device monted on the side near the battery that has a wire that goes to the battery and one that goes to the starter then there will be one small wire which actavates the starter take a pair of jumper cables place the car in park turn the key to the run postion hook up one end of the cable to the positive side of the battery and the other end to the small wire if it cranks over it means the wire is not working and will have to be tested for aa bad fuse or a fuseable link. Next hook the cable that is connected to the positive side of the battery and connect it to the other side of the solinoid that goes to the starter if it cranks yo know the solinoid is good if it does not replace the solinoid and that should fix your problem. If it does not crank on the first test replace the solinoid anyway, if it still does not work the starter is bad or loose/ You can remove the starter and take itto autozone and they can test it for free. Hope this helps get you up and going and if it does not post what you find here on the e-mail you recieve. Thanks for your time.

Starter wont engage

The problem is either the starter solinoid (located on fender near battery) or you are not getting power to the "s" terminal on the starter solinoid from the ignition switch. If you follow the positive battery cable from the battery you'll follow it to the solinoid. Remove the small wire from the terminal marked "s" on the solinoid and using a screwdriver jump from "s" terminal (not the wire) to where positive battery cable connects to solinoid. (with battery connected). If starter doesn't do anything the solinoid is bad. If starter cranks then you are not getting voltage from ignition switch through "s" terminal wire.
