Question about 1991 Dodge Dynasty
When cold it works ok but when it warms up after a few miles it downshifts to a lower gear and stays there until ignition switch is shut off and back on.

When you try to start it back up, have you tried very slightly pressing on the accelerator and trying to start it? If it does start, but dies as soon as you let up on the pedal, dollars to donuts the IAC (idle air control) passageway is blocked or the IAC motor is bad (should throw out a check engine light though).

you may be feeling the torque convertor locking and unlocking....if you feel this on grade it may be normal. there is also the possibility that the brake switch may be acting up and causing it

DID THIS PROBLEM HAPPEN BEFORE YOU REPLACED THE SWITCH? IF IT DID, THAN SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A BAD STARTER SHORTING INTERNALLY

Lets all get together and form a class action law suit. This should be a recall. but no body has been killed yet.Our tax dollars get to bail them out so they on keep making defective products.I wounder would they except defective money for there cars.
