Battery cable corrosion. If side post battery cut off the rubber all the way around where bolt goes through eyelet of terminal to gain full access to backside of terminal, they are always corroded due to the rubber collecting and holding the moisture. Also. Turn key on , did check engine light come on? If not then take it to a dealer as modules have lost communication. If stayed on solid for about three seconds, equals no codes present. If blinks then pending codes, not set enough or emission related codes present, then need codes read. Oreliey's auto parts will do it free. Does starter turn over. If not then start starting and charging diagnosis. If it does then it may be a thrift deturrent code. Some Chevy's have security located in dash or one corner of the radio. When turn key if comes on solid and goes out then its OK. If blinks then goes out means pending code and blinks continuously or solid illumination of anti thrift light then its in lock out mode and computer thinks your tryinhg to steal it. Most of the time the ignition cylinder tumbler needs replaced for hall effect switch errors. Or dodge keyless vehicle , does not use metal let, then its usually the wireless control module. Or the computer you stick the key into to start vehicle. What lights on dash? When key turned to start do u hear click? Relay or bendex for the starter?

My car won't turn on it was working fine last

Just because you charged the battery it doesn't mean it is any good. Modern sealed batteries fail; just as you described, fine one moment and then nothing, they go open internally.

2008 escape hybrid won't start when you turn the

I am not familiar with hybrids, but i think when you start, it's starting with the battery, so I think you have a bad connection, check and clean the battery terminals.

My asb light comes on when starting and stays on. Lights won't come on , power locks won't work, power windows won't work, radio won't work. All fuses are good and car runs fine.

Those are all really common symptoms of the alternator going bad on those cars. I would have it checked to make sure it's charging properly.

My 96 jeep Laredo will not turn over. I've checked

sorry turns over means ZERO
the crank shaft can spin or not
the starter can in fact spin and crankshaft not.
and some think turns over means, engine runs. now that fact makes turns over, a dead statement.

the word is cranks over, the engine cranks over robustlyl
and then the engine runs.
then runs for more that 3 seconds, and the ASD relay holds. (step by step his works like this ,93 to now)

wont crank ? (clear statement in fact)
cranks ok, (crank shaft spins fast) can be seen and heard.
runs for 3 seconds? and stalls (ASD relay drop out) can be seen.
runs for 5min and stalls. (complex)
runs for hours and stalls. (even more complex)
all are key facts to the solution.

tell more..... tell all it does good bad or ugly
for better suggestions!

CHECK MODE RELAY IF BOTH RELAYS GOOD YOU CAN CHECK RELAY BY REMOVING IT FROM FUSE BOX HOOK RELAY TERMINAL 85 TO BATTERY POSITIVE AND GROUND TERMINAL 86 IF CLICKS RELAY GOOD. IF RELAY GETTING POWER GOOD AND THE 30 AMP COOLING FAN FUSE OKAY.EITHER THERE IS A SHORT IN COOLING FAN WIRING OR THE PCM HAS FAILED.THE PCM HAS LOST OR COMMAND RUN CIRCUIT IN PCM SHORTED OUT DUE TO PCM FAILURE.LET DEALERSHIP OR GARAGE USE DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT TO ACTIVATE THE PCM SEE IF IT HAS FAILED.DONT SPEND MONEY ON NEW PCM COULD BE SHORT IN THE WIRING CIRCUIT

My 99 Taurus acts like the battery is dead it will crank the engine over a couple times slowly then nothing I've had the battery tested and it was good same with the starter it won't jump start...

If the battery and starter have proven good, then you probably have a connection issue.Check condition of battery, wire to battery, and starter wires and connections also. I dont know your particular situation, but there is always the possibility of a motor trying to sieze.

My car was running fine yesterday and this morning it didn't start. got a new battery, replaced the oil and checked the fuses. everything is fine but car still won't start. suggestions, please

Check for spark and fuel. When you turn the key on you should hear the fuel pump in the tank for a few seconds till the pressure builds up. When you crank the engine there should be spark at the plugs.

Car won`t start at all. Just a fast clicking sound from the engine when the ignition key is turned. The lights, radio etc all work fine.

Low battery or bad connection at terminal. Try jumping from a car that's running. If it still doesn't crank, then you have a bad solenoid.
