Question about 2008 Chevrolet Impala SS
Windshield washer low DIC indication. Washer full but warning remains illuminatd.
You have a bad sensor. It's on the washer reservoir. This is a 2003 pic, But gives you an idea where to look. The sensor is the one on the right.

Turn the key to the on position (not start)
with the radio off. Wait 10 seconds. Press the "display" button on the
radio and hold for 10 to 12 seconds. the radio display will light up .
Press "display" and "1" to select functions.
This was not tested or confirmed by me, but my dad has a 2005 Impala and this is what he told me. Let me know if it works or not, and I can try to investigate it more if needed.

THis problem is caused for
Lost of correlation between ACELERATOR PEDAL POSITION
AND THROTTLE ACTUATOR MOTOR.
Because your car has no acelerator cable.
The morer probable is the Trhottle actuator motor come damaged. 90%. 10% the accelerator pedal position.
If you turn of the car it will work OK> for a few time.
But the Service engine soon. will stay on.
Yuo can go to at ANy ADVANCE AUTOPART, AUTOZONE or NAPA AUTOPART. They make a diagnostic free.
If not. I recomend get the car scanned for see exactly why the light come on. and make the right repair procedure.
OK>> I hope this help on your question...
Thank you for use fixya.

there is a fuse for the windshield washer pump. It is located in the under the hood fuse box.The fuse is near the bottom marked WSW. Look in the manual for fuse box (under hood) I read that Chevy recommended repacing the 10 amp fuse with a 15amp. There are spare fuses in the bottom of the fuse box(labeled in the manual) and there is a 15 amp. I changed mine in 3 minutes and now it works. Hope I helped.
