Have you checked the fuses? I would start with the owners manual if you have one. They could tell you where the fuses to that gauges are. Do the lights on the gauges work? Chances are you have fuses on more then one location.

yes this is an electrical problem. it is either the relay is stuck or the switch is stuck on the inside , since the motor is working.
it will need to be checked out to see which one is causing it to continue to run.

ok i no this is prolly not the answer you want but i have ran across this a thousand time it is very commen with the gm cd players i have yet seen anyone fix this problem best bet is to replace the unit and aftermarket is a good cheap way to go

Hi. the air filter is in a cylindrical looking device that is connected to the intake throttle body, via plastic flex hose. it runs horizontal. you will have to un clip the plastic housing and extract the filter. i will post a picture below.
