Question about Volkswagen Polo
Replaced throttle body, matsensor, coil(put original back),heat sensor, rotar, distibutor cap, fuel relay(kept old one in). do have anti ****** in. could this be the problem, somtimes i hear fuel pump work and sometimes not
Check your wires to your fuel pump, for broken ones, loose ones, make.sure you have a good ground, if all looks good, then check your fuel pressure, but sounds like the fuel pump is going

Your fuel pump may be at the end of it's life and need to be replaced. Your going to have to check your fuel pressure at the shredder valve, to have the engine start you need 60 to 65psi. Any other readings will not start and under 55psi, engine will not run. It's common to hear the electric fuel pump working but the mechanical pump it self is worn out and can no longer provide the proper fuel pressure for your SEFI system. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help get you truck running again. Auto Zone has loner tool program and they will have the step by step instructions to get the job done.

I had a Grand Prix one time (basically the same car) that had a problem with the fuel pump harness. This harness plugs into the top of the fuel pump as you know, and into the floorboard underneath the car. Check the floorboard end for corrosion or broken wires.
