Hello. It sounds like the fuel fillter is bad. Check the fuel fillter first, if it looks bad and old, change it. Then normaly check the air fillter to see if it is bad or not. You all ways have to keep fillters in the line of being clean so the flow of fuel and air get to the engine the right way.Good Luck.

Sounds like your oil pump is defective. If you haven't taken it to a mechanic, I'll suggest that you do so immediately to prevent further damage to your engine. Good luck and let me know how things play out.

Its an old car now Gary, when was it last serviced fully? And I don't mean just checking the tyres. You don't say how many miles or any history.
Does it only do it from cold? Or any time you hit the gas?
Give us a bit more to go on?

No power

if you ran out of gas you might have sucked some water up into your fuel line, or other contaminants. Try changing your fuel filter, also, you might have a collapsed fuel sock in the gas tank, especially if you have more than 100,000 miles on the vehicle.

My 350 has no pickup and go anymore,if you hit the gas to the floor it will spit and sputer untill you let off of it. and even then it lacks power

Have you been maintaining the truck? Tune ups, changing the air and gas filters? Also, check the timeing, if you have never had the timing chain replaced, that could be the problem. Most people don't think about that when working on older vehicles

if you take a hammer and hit the gas tank flat side of hammer, while someone else is turning it over. it should start. if it does start the fuel pump is shot.

do you fill the gas tank with the key on?

Try disconnecting the battery for 1/2 hour an then reconnect and drive for 10 miles. It may run rough for this period. This will clear codes from memory.

Lack of power

You need to check a service manual on this but it sounds a bunch like a cold-start valve isn't closing once the engine is warm and this would cause an overly rich fuel-air mix that would gag a warm engine. I don't know if your car is equipped with  one or not.
