SOURCE: vn commodores wont start think fuel problem

pump maybe sucking air, ergo empty tank? no seriously that could be the regulator and may need check and/or replacement. I am not very familiar with the Holden clones that gm makes here, but most vehicles still use many of the same systems to run the engine.

I have a Ve commodore sidi and can't find the fuel pump relay. Book shows it at passengers footwell but it isn't there

Hi Joel If not in left side kick panel(early models).Normally above or below fuse remover clip.
Check left side of boot in rear electrical centre. Should be in hand book, should also be a picture in the fuse cover
If neither of these places may not have a relay it will be dependent on type of fuel system. You have not stated why you require to find fuel pump relay. Do you have a start or running issue?

Why would I not have no power to my fuel pump or spark plugs

Hi JS, I'm glad to help!
First, you need to make sure the vehicle's computer is not in "Theft Mode" because if it is, then it will shut down the fuel pump and power to the spark plugs. This is all done through the "Auto-Shut-Down-Relay" I would try swapping the ASD Relay with another one in the fuse box that looks the same just to make sure its not a bad relay. If it starts replace the ASD Relay with a new one. If it doesn't start, then check all the fuses under the hood and inside the car "If There is a Fuse Box Inside"? If you find all fuses are good, then you could have a bad "CRANK SENSOR" I'd try replacing it. NOTE: But only if the vehicle is not in "Theft Mode"! Hope this helps and have an awesome day JS!

My 1990 jeep won't start just turning-what are the possiability

under the hood you will find a fuse box that has a relay in it called an ASD relay.. its about one inch square. the lid of the fuse box will tell you witch one is the asd relay.. you can swap it with another relay in that box to see if the truck will start. if not check to see if you have spark and fuel pressure..

Has no spark

well the easy answer is 20A ign fuse under the hood

however, lets check a few other things
1.) when you are cranking the vehicle is the check engine light on? If it is then this means that the PCM is not seeing the CKP... start searching for a loose connection at the CKP
2.) next swap the PCM power relay with the fuel pump relay and see if you get spark...if the relay is bad your vehicle still will not start because the bad fuse is now the fuel pump relay

2001 Will crank but wont start

Hi , these trucks are notorious for fuel pump issuse. (I have 2 in the shop now).First check for spark if spark is present then we need to check for fuel.if a presure gauge is avail, install the gauge and crank the engine.if presure increases to 50-60 psi fuek is probably not the issue. now if a gauge is not avail you can remove the air cleaner/snorkle assy.spray some carb cleaner in the throttle body, then try to start if (if it starts for a second the problem if if it starts go under by the fuel tank, reach up (from the drivers side and unplug the fuel pump plug (4 wire) have some one crank the engine ande check for battery power on gray wire durring cranking,if battery power is present check black wire for good ground.if both power and grounds are present pump is no good.if now power then swap the fuel pump relay w/ same design relay (in the underhood relay center) relays are also a known issue w. the s and t trucks, good luck Thanks
