It blinks once using the jumper method then it blinks 4 more times and repeats? Any ideas

If the check engine light is on then you will have to have the code pulled so you know what tests have to be done to find the cause of the problem.

Try the following:
1. Make sure the odometer is shown (not trip meters). Turn key to the Off position. 2. Press the odometer button AND turn the ignition key to the ON position for a few seconds. 3. You will hear a �ding� and the odometer will show four or five underscores to indicate the reset is done.
