Question about 2004 Volvo XC90
Just installed new battery and now fan will not turn off, it has been about 3 hours.
You mean the engine fan or the interior heater fan ? if the engine fan it must just be a coincedence or the fan was running on before, and you might not have noticed, and if you replaced the battery because it kept going flat the fan running on to long could be the reason ,the engine temp sender may be the fault as fan is designed to run on after engine turned off to cool down components,so i'd get the OBD codes read this will pinpoint the sensor/switch that is at fault, save you time and money,as a temp fix see if you can disconnect the wire to the fan when engine has cooled as the new battery will soon be toast , plug back in when starting engine again being carefull in case the fan cuts in straight away which would also point to temp sender switch, keep me posted if you wish

that sounds like you are low on power steering fluid ... when the level gets low then the pump starts to ingest air and that produces a buzzing sound when you turn the wheel .....i would add or change the fluid and check for leaks and mechanical loosness in the under car linkages ...you can have that checked at your next oil change .

Testimonial: "Thank you, you were right I took the car in and they said the steering fluid was low. "
You need a steering wheel puller. You may be able to rent this from your parts house. Disconnect the battery for no less than 1/2 hour before disconnecting the air bag or the air bag could deploy. Place air bag facing up or it could become a projectile if set off.
