Question about 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser
2006 PT Limited. Engine Malfunction light is on. Code comes back cam sensor according to tech. Is this possible on a 30k mile car? If so, approx. how much should it cost to repair?
First off, it's NOT the crank position sensor...Unless you've pulled the motor recently!
Get down to Advance Auto Parts and buy a car of "SeaFoam" ($9) and add it to your tank per instructions...drive AT LEAST 100 miles...problem should go away.
If not, your O2 sensor in the exhaust (x3) is faulty...look to spend $200-400 depending on your mechanic...DO NOT GO TO THE DEALER!
