Question about 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass
A piece fell off the serpentine belt. how do I fix the problem? I do not know what piece fell off.

YOU GOING TO HAVE TO GO TO DEALERSHIP.THEY PROBABLY CAN PULL UP YOUR HOSE DIAGRAM ON COMPUTER.BUT THE HAYNES.REPAIR MANUAL DONT SHOW ENOUGH PICTURES.NOW A OLDS ALERO REPAIR MANUAL FROM GM WILL SHOW YOU EVERY THING.BUT THEY ARE EXPENSIVE.OR YOU CAN GO TO AUTO ZONE AND BUY THE CD- ROM ALL DATA DIY.COM.IT WILL PROBABLY HELP YOU FIND HOSE DIAGRAM YOU NEED.

Call any good parts store and they have pictures in the front of their belt catalogs that show the routing diagrams of each car.

its possible the diagram is on a label under the hood. GM was pretty good about putting this label somewhere in the engine compartment. (unless someone removed it)

Using a 15mm wrench attached to the drive belt tensioner pulley, rotate
the tensioner clockwise to release the tension. Remove the drive belt
from the pulley. When installing the new drive belt, ensure that the
drive belt is routed correctly and note the position of the indicator
mark on the tensioner.
