Question about 1990 Nissan 300ZX
My dad has this 1990 300zx non turbo. It didn't have an engine so we got one from a guy. It was a JDM motor with no more than 45k miles on it.The enigine is missing between 4 and 6. We've replaced injectors and coil packs and check condinuity between injectors and ecu. Still no fix. We cannot figure out the next step. PLEASE HELP!
Dude, i think you have two spark plug cables cross over. go to your local autozone and find a "firing order" if it was a blown head gasket it would show on the compression test but i'm pretty sure its a spark plug cable cross over.

Next step is a compression test. Sounds like a blown head gasket between 4 & 6 . You should remove all the spark plugs and test each cylinder @ wot (wide open throttle) and log your results. The compression should vary very little no more than 10-15% I think you will find 4 & 6 much below this. If This is the case removal of the head will be necessary to diagnose further repairs. Hope this helps, let me know! gl...dc
