the thing with most alarms is that they include an imobiliser. it involves cutting part of the fuel/ignition system and running it through the alarm. so when you disconected the alarm you opened the system. a commen mistake. you should have received a key with the alarm and if it is a factory alarm the ignition key should do the trick. what you should do is reconnect the alarm and you should be able to tourn off the alarm with the key. if you don't have a key the only other answer is to have it bypassed by an auto electricion.

Tips for a great answer:
Insert the ignition key into the driver side door lock.
Turn the key counterclockwise to unlock the door.
Turn the key clockwise to initiate the alarm activation sequence.
Turn the key counterclockwise. The alarm will stop and reset itself.
