What are torque specs on 1965 ford 7 and 1/4 inch rear

I have a '68 Motor's manual (goes back to'58) the only rear end specs I can find are for the pinion nut (140 ft. lbs.)
pinion preload: 17-27 in. lbs. w/integral carrier or 22-32 in.lbs. w/ removable carrier. Tightening the carrier bearings isn't so much a torque setting but more or a tightening procedure. Theses specs are done during the rebuild so I wonder if you're asking about the bearing caps or bolts that hold the diff. to the axle housing? I could not find a spec. for bolt torque. Since the bolts that hold it in (if that is what you asking about) are not a bearing adjustment, you can go with a generic torque based on bolt size. Again, I'm not sure what component, or bolts it is you are asking for torque specs on.

Chilton or shop manual,, or call an engine rebuilder ,, such as a napa or other local engine machine shop,, go in strike up a conversation about the motor and ask them if you cant find it in the book,
you can usually get auto repair manuals in the reference section of the library to check out or just go copy a few pages that you need,

Need to know how much torque to tighten head bolts and connectingrods

If you are repairing the engine to this level, a bottom or top rebuild, you should already have a chiltons. If not, what are you doing?! These specifications along with many necessary others should be in your repair manual unless you are just gathering this information for fun. Sorry about the lecture, but if you don't have torque specs for this, what else do you not have. Not only do you need the torque specs but each head bold needs to be torqued in a certain sequence as well. Head bolts are torqued in specific order gradually bringing the cast iron head to specification over three torque sessions.

Check out faxonaitoliterature. They carry original dealer service manuals. They also list a manual called "Rebuilding a Small Block Chevy". It should have everything you need to know. Hope this helps.
