There might be a short-circuit somewhere between the fuse box to the light.
I think that somewhere in that region is a wire that touches the body of the car, or something like that.
The body of the car is (most of the time) the mass (the negative of the battery).

For me, it could either be the wire from the fuse box to the light (maybe the rubber coating is damaged?), either the mounting stock of the light bulb (often the problem in household lamps), or the fuse holder which touches the body without any insulation.

why does hazard fuse keep blowing - rating-3.gifDriving through junk yards, a roadside electrician points out the obvious to me that my taillight is out and he could fix it for $80. After checking for about 45 min. He gets all my lights running. No more blown fuses. He said it was the headlights causing the problems. The wires were touching. Thnk

SOURCE: 1997 Ford Taurus Blinker Lights

Relay or Flasher unit will be located in or near the fuse box,,,your owners manual will tell you where it is,, they are easy to replace, and cheap to buy.

SOURCE: Blinkers stopped working

I have a 1994 F150 and the blinkers and E Flashers were out. I bought some flashers from NAPA and put them in with no effect. I noticed my E Flashers were still on from before when I was trying to switch them on. Turned the E flasher switch to the off positiion and the trun signals with the new Flasher are working. I thought I had another flasher spot around the back of the fuse box but didn't have time to look at it yet, so my E Flashers are still not working.

My turn signals won't work with the E flasher on. ??? Hopefully just that, the Flasher around the back.

My 2006 Ford focus keeps blowing blinker fuses. Sometime they last a few days and sometimes only a day. It's all the blinkers including hazard lights....please help

Check all the wiring all the way back to the lights, somewhere there is a wire that is rubbed through and grounding out the circuit, this blows the fuse, as to where the wire in question will be is why most mechanics hate electrical problems like this. No simple fix in most cases.

Cause fuse keep blowing

You have a short. you will need patience to route the wires from the harness to the light source, and to inspect for frail damaged wires.

Signal light fuse keeps blowing

the fuse stopped the fire. that is what fuses do.
so, you have a dead short on the blinkers.
remove each lamp 1 at a time.
yes, lamps can short. (twisted too hard)
remove them.
still blow the blinker fuse.?
yes, then the wires are shorted.
and guess what, top reasons are.
1: trailer wiring, look behind each lap assembly, BINGO?
2: hacking or collision, yes, look 1 more time. ,yes behind the lamp assembles, look carefully for DAMAGE.

Hazards dont work but blinkers do

Blinkers and hazards normally work on the same fuse. Sounds like the hazard switch has a problem.Get the hazard switch out and bridge the two connector wires to the switch. If the hazards then work the problem is in the switch. If it don't work you may have a problem in the wiring between the switch and the flasher relay.

Blinkers just stopped working changed fuses didnt work

Do the hazards work? Is it all the blinkers? If so try the flasher fuse otherwise make sure the hazard switch isn't half pressed down. Some cars you can hit the hazard switch just a little so hazards won't come on but neither will the blinkers. If it's just 1 blinker change the bulb
