Question about 2007 Jaguar XJ8L Sedan

1 Answer

2004 My Jaguar XJ8 AC works, just no air comes out, neither when I have the AC or the heat on. No air comes out of the vent, I think for whatever reason the fan isnt blowing. I was wondering what I could do to get to the bottom of this problem.

2004 Jaguar XJ8 AC

first i would try checking relays, fuses, and the ground cables. replace as neccesary....now for checking the ground cables.....i would disconnect them and try scuffing them up with a wirebrush or something that will scuff up the metal a little bit then re-attach them.....test the blower and see if it works.....let me know what happened.

check freon level first. You should hear the compressor clutch kick on under the hood when you turn it on. Can you hear and see it come on and start spinning the compressor?

I have a 2000 jaguar xj8 and the heat is not working. Cold air blows out when the heat is turned on. The AC works great. What could be wrong with the heat?

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6235876-no_heat_fan_blowing_cold_air . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

?? I also have 2004 XK8 with the navigation screen (Alpine). That isn't a touch type screen. The newer ones have a touch screen, but not that year.
You set the temperature (digital display) and the car will either turn on the heat or air conditioning, and speed up or slow down the fan depending on how close the actual temperature is to what you have set.
