don't understand your question. First of all the 2004 Santa Fe was equipped with three different engines!... which one does yours have? The 2.4 four cylinder?.. .the 2.7 V6?,, OR the 3.5 V6? Once you provide this information.. maybe we can help you.

Dear friend-you do not need any special tools, but if it is a V6 you will need some extra hands.

2004 hyundai santa fe sounds like a fan belt slipping only when cold?

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

When was your last fan belt replacement? Maybe now is a good time. If the belt is worn out it tends to slip regardless on cold or warm temperature.

Hope this shed some light. Have a good one and thank you for using FixYa!

I have a 2004 Santa Fe with 39000 miles when can I aspect the driving or timing belt to go out

The timing belts must be replaced every 5 years or 50k miles, whatever comes first. The other belts whenever they give signs of slipping, no fixed date.

Ho to replace serpentine belt. cant find anything

There probably won't be any adjustments. Serpentine Belts have be used for 25 or 26 years to my memory ,and have spring loaded tensioners to keep belt tight. So I quess your new to the car world. You release the tension with a long 1/2" Drive ratchet or tool specific for belt replacement. If you need to buy any tools you don't have, your better off leaving it to the pros

Wondering about special tools involved to raplace timing belt on Hyundai Santa Fe 2004? Are any needed?

No "special" tool that I'm aware of...you've posted related question about this task...I do NOT recommend doing this at home...A mechanic shouldn't charge all that much, say $150 max to do this job and then it'll be done right the first time...If you "accidentally" knock the engine out-of-time you could cause engine damage $$$$

Would like to know if water pump needs to be changed when doing timing belt on 2004 hyundai santa fe 2.0 liter and how long of a job is it

Hi....
On your 2004 Santa Fe.
The water pump is not driven by the Timing belt.
Is not stricttly nessesary to replace togheter. they are individual.
But I recomend replace the timing belt when you replace the water pump. Because for get axces to the water pump,
you need to remove all the Timing covers.
Is just a few more minutes to remove the Timing belt.
Inspect the Engine seals, cam and crank Replace if need.
My PC show me a 2.4L 4cyl. for 2004 santa fe.

Ok.. The labor for that job Removing the Timing belt and water Pump ...IS:
2.8 hours. just the water pump 2.4 hours.

OK.. I hope this help on your question...
Thank you for use fixya..
