The wrench means you are over due for an oil change. tranny clunking is probably another issue. I suggest going in for service very soon.

Transmission clunks when stepping on the gas and letting off. Is there a fix?

It might be a u-joint or C/V joint that is doing the clunk.
bad motor mounts will cause clunks.

If its in the tranny, it needs a trip to the tranny shop

When i shift my automatic transmission from park to reverse or neutral to reverse there is a loud clunk

Either the u-joints are bad and that is what is clunking or the tranny fluid and filter need to be changed. usually it is the u-joints that clunk

Check your tranny mount sometimes the rubber part cracks and makes a clunking sound, also check your universal joints on the driveshaft if they are bad they will clunk, both are cheap fixes.

Transmission leaks, clunks into gear

Well your clunking noise is most likely the u-joints the leaking pan is the tranny pan what you would have to do is get a tranny kit and change the pan gasket tranny filter and fluid or take to a shop and have a tranny service done.

F 150 will not drive

Hey, it could be clutches bad, get a bottle of transmission fluid and se what it smells like, then pull the stick on your tranny and see if it smells way different, like it has been burned or over Also, if you know some one with a scanner you can see the codes for the transmission and it will tell what is wrong. Hope this may help you. Also before you pay a bunch of money to get it fixed, let me know I bet I can help you save some real bucks.

1985 4plus3 tranny

your clutch might be worn, was any of the oil you changed somewhat metallic? Ive heard to check for a worn clutch: pull the car up to a tree, put a tire or some kind of cushion between the car and the tree put your car in its highest gear, give it gas and very slowly let your clutch out, if the clutch is good the car will shut down immediately.
