SOURCE: 2001 tahoe front heater not working, rear heater blows warm air

Notorious for plugged heater cores. Also updated plastic restriction couplers mounted at heater core available from dealer. Try back flushing heater core. Run engine till its at operating temperature then carefully hold the inlet and outlet hose breifly with heater fan on high if hoses are nearly the same temp then flow is good , if not then core is plugged.

SOURCE: 1996 Chevy Tahoe air conditioning not blowing cold air

That "thing" is part of the compressor clutch. When it’s spinning the clutch is engaged, when it stops the compressor is off. If it’s constantly cycling, you probably don’t have enough freon in the system. But remember, however the gas escaped before, it will escape again, unless you fix the leak.

SOURCE: I changed the battery in my 2004 Chevy Tahoe

I recently had the same problem with my 04 Silverado 2500HD after I replaced the battery. I am guessing that you have dual climate contol. You need to reset the climate control. I reset mine by simply shutting the AC off when truck is running and parked. Then turn off the truck
and pull the AC and HVAC fuses out of the fuse box. Leave them out a few seconds and put them back in. Start the vehicle and leave the AC off for about a minute, then turn it on. This should fix the problem. If not, try it again. If still not, you might have to do the same thing except unhook the battery at the same time you pull the fuses. Good luck.
It worked for me.

SOURCE: Front Blower

ok, missed the part about the rear ac working, the part that causes this is called the air temperature control blend door actuator motor, it is an electric motor driven gear drive that moves the plastic door inside the air ducking to mix or shut off the hot or cold air from the ac evaporator core or the heater core, you will need to replace it.

SOURCE: 2005 tahoe no air blowing

as long as all the fuses are good.. its probably the blower resistor/module... located next to the blower motor under the pass. side of the dash..

Why isnt cold air blowing in front cab of 2002 chevy tahoe

This could be one of two things. The air conditioner is low on freon or has a compressor problem OR the blend door on the heating unit is not moving.

Chevy 2005 tahoe z71 blows cold air in back but hot air in front

Just got an answer from Chevy Dealer. When you replaced the battery it loses its memory as to where the door actuators were (the flaps that control the heat and A/C).

The fix:
Turn everything off and let the car sit overnight. The computer should reset itself during its learnings process.
In the morning turn on the ignition and let the car run for a few minutes before turning on the climate control.

If this doesn't work, plan on 1-1.5hours of labor for a technician to reset the actuators at the dealership.

Good luck.
