Need fuse diagram for 1996 camaro ss fuel pump

This is for Z28--5.7L engine. I'd have to check voltage and ground for the fuel pump. At the fuel pump connector, gray wire is voltage, black is ground, check them both. Sometimes fuel pump will run but won't make good pressure, if any? You could jump load side of relay to see if pump will run and make proper pressure. The load side is that arm with arrowhead.
Engine cranking, you have spark at the plugs and fuel injector pulse, just trying to see if you have more than one problem?

The fuel pump is inside the gas tank, to access the pump for replacement you must remove the gas tank from the car.

When warm my 99 camaro v6 runs like ****. I can't

Well, the first thing I would ask is what codes are you getting from the computer? If it is running that bad, your check engine light has got to be SCREAMING at you.

Then, you sort-of answered the question for me by stating that the fuel pressure is at 38 psi. The fuel pressure specification for a 1999 Chevrolet Camaro equipped with a 3.8L V-6 engine is 48-55 psi. I'll bet you have lean oxygen sensor codes and a random misfire code. (they'll do that when the fuel pressure is low.)

I would first try replacing the fuel filter and see if the numbers don't come up.
If that does not work, block the fuel return line and see if the numbers get better. If they do, you have a bad fuel pressure regulator. If they don't you either have a restriction in the fuel line or a bad fuel pump.

How do you bypass the security system in a 96 chevy camaro? Can a in -line fuel pump be used instead of replacing the in tank pump?

You cannot draw fuel through the old pump. If you want to convert to external pump, you will have to install a new take-up in the tank.

For passkey II, the procedure at works to bypass the ignition switch, but it will not bypass the whole system.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

Chevy camaro engine problem

could be fuel or spark. when it dies you need to check to make sure there is fuel pressure in the fuel rail. if you follow the rail around your injectors you will see a schrader valve(like a tire valve stem). push on it and see if fuel sprays out. wear safety glasses when doing this since the fuel should be under pressure. if there is no fuel there then it is either fuel filter or fuel pump. if there is fuel then is a problem with the ignition system
