Hmm, you may need to get the dealer to adjust the cables. Also make sure the pump has fluid (right side trunk, behind the cover). Once the top comes down to the top of the window, you can see the device that should pull it down tight. In an emergency, there is a hex key in the right side of the trunk that you can use to manually bring that down tight. Your vehicle manual explains how to do this emergency operation.

You need to take it to a local shop and have the freon level checked. It sounds like the compressor is cycling to much on the hotter days and is not running long enough to cool down the low side. this is mostly caused by low freon levels and with this type of system with an expansion valve is common. this is not a costly fix unless you have a bad leak or blockage.

Had the same incident and a check of the battery showed a defective cell . battery replaced and all been ok since. Do ensure that you have your radio code before disconnecting battery otherwise you will not be able to use the radio etc.

have you looked for oil leaks on the floor under the seats? My hose burst just above the windscreen filled the courtesy lights panel with oil :( the hoses go down the left A pillar into the footwell then under the seats etc, you have to get the seats out. It was an €800+ at Jag Luxembourg :(
