Sounds like the timing belt broke. Unfortunately this vehicle was not equiped with no contact valves so if that is the case you will need to have the engine and Head rebuilt. If the crank position sensor can't sense the position of the crank it should shutdown the electrical to keep you from damaging your engine.

p0068 TPS sensor problem,p0108 maf or baro sensor higt resistance,usually one or other has voltage problem or its desconected,you should check for voltage, disconecting one firs tand after the other one.

P0513 p0627 p0508 p0113 p0340 p0052 p0118 p0108 p0123 Chrysler sebring 2.7 sedan got a bunch of code can someone help!!!!

Here goes , 0513- incorrect immobiliser key , 0627-fuel pump either relay or pump fault ,0508-idle air control ,0113 -air intake temp sensor , 0340-cam position sensor , 0052-o2 sensor bank 2 ,0118-engine coolant temp sensor , 0108-MAP sensor ,0123-throttle position sensor , The last 6 codes could well be a wiring problem or loose connection to the ECU , try clearing the codes and see if any come back after driving for a few miles , assuming the car starts as you have'nt said , i would take to a mechanic with good diagnostic facilities if these persist as will save you a lot of time a possibly money changing parts that may not need changing , hope this helps

Get codes p0068 and p0108

codes p0068 refer to Manifold pressure sensor/mass air flow sensor--throttle position correlation--causes ---wiring---map sensor---maf sensor--mechanical fault.
code p0108 refers to manifold absolute pressure(map) sensor/barometric pressure (BARO) sensor--high input. causes ---wiring short to positive---map sensor---baro sensor---ecm.

My Chrysler 300 M started losing power on the freeway and then the engine died at the offramp. I got it started and limped home. The check engine light came on and when I checked the codes I got P0068...

Hi there:DTC P0068 - Throttle Body Airflow Performance
The ECM detected that the airflow was more than the calculated airflow rate, condition met for 0.2 second. In this diagnostic, the actual throttle position and airflow rate are compared to an expected throttle position and airflow rate based on the engine load. The ECM determines engine load based on inputs from the mass airflow (MAF) sensor and the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor. The ECM performs further comparisons to determine if a sensor has failed, and then it sets DTCP0068.

  • Check for air leaks after the MAF sensor mounting location
  • Check for air leaks in the PCV system and in its related hoses and/or valve
  • Check for moisture somewhere in the Air Induction system
  • Check for a skewed or out-of-range ECT sensor
  • MAF sensor wiring routed too close to ignition wires or motors
  • MAF sensor low reference circuit has high resistance
  • MAF sensor is contaminated or dirty
  • Throttle plate dirty or contaminated
  • ECM has failed

Chrysler sebring code

MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor or MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor or TPS (Throttle Position) Sensor. Not that hard you just need to know where to look so I will give you a link to look up codes :-)

I have fault codes P1684 & P0340 on my 2002

P1684 The battery has been disconnected within the last 50 starts.


This indicates that a problem was detected in the camshaft position sensor circuit. Since it says circuit, that means the problem could lie in any part of the circuit - the sensor itself, the wiring, or the PCM. Don't just replace the CPS (camshaft position sensor) and think that will definitely fix it.
Symptoms Symptoms can include:
  • Hard starting or no start
  • Rough running / misfiring
  • Loss of engine power
Causes A code P0340 could mean one or more of the following has happened:
  • a wire or connector in the circuit could be grounded/shorted/broken
  • the camshaft position sensor may have failed
  • the PCM may have failed
  • there exists an open circuit
  • the crankshaft position sensor may have failed
Possible Solutions With a P0340 OBD-II trouble code, diagnosis can be tricky at times. Here are some things to try:
  • Visually inspect all the wiring and connectors in the circuit
  • Check for continuity in the circuit wiring
  • Check the operation (voltage) of the camshaft position sensor
  • Replace the camshaft position sensor as required
  • Check the crankshaft position circuit as well
  • Replace circuit wiring and/or connectors as required
  • Diagnose/replace the PCM as required

What are these codes that appears on my engine check machines? p1391,p1297,p0108,p1492

P1391 Intermitant loss of cam or crank; P1297 No change in map from start to run; P0108 Map sensor voltage too high; p1492 Battery temp sensor too high.

    Have u had any work done on the engine lately or anything done under the hood? looks like something in the area of the MAF sensor is disconnected or the sensor itself is disconnected, all the codes are related.
