Question about 1993 Ford Escort 4 Door
93 f0rd escort and then starts missing badly after warming up a little a little
Check all the vacuum hoses under the hood for leaks, replacing any that look dry or brittle. A doctor's stethoscope can hear the hissing of a leaking hose better than the unaided ear. I have had the EGR hose, on the right side of the engine, passing over the valve cover from front to back, work loose from its rubber fitting at the front of the engine.
Check that the spark plugs are gapped correctly and screwed all the way in when the engine is cold. If your spark plugs or wires are old, consider replacing them.
Cleaning the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor with a spay cleaner (sold at car stores) can help.
