Question about 2005 Ford Bantam 1.3i
The heater inside the kar does not work at all and when i park the car i hear excessive noise caused by the fan, i just saw it this morning but heard the engine making that noise last night but the heater still worked and the bakkie did not overheat. a while back my aircon was also giving me a problem but just for one day where it would give verry hot air when temp was set to cold and aircon was on but that stopped and now couple weeks later this happens. does anyone have any advice for me? im scared now to drive the bakkie because i dont want to damage it if there is a problem.

on the evap box there is a control mtr that switches the hot cold door. these mtrs are prone to failure. the other problem that i have seen is that the door breakes in side the evap box and that means removing the box to replace the door . if i remeber correctly you may have to slide the dash back to gain assces to the control mtr to test it good luck

Let your engine warm up with the rad. cap off and see if the coolant level drops. and make sure your overflow is full. It blows cold air because there is no water getting to the heater core. And it shows a normal(ish) temp because the water needs to be touching the temp. sensor. I really do think there is air in the system and there is not enough coolant but hard to tell from here. Also as with overheating any time make sure to check your oil and look for any coolant as the head gasket seldomly holds together if the motor overheats.
