Does the turn signal switch feel as if its not engaging when this happens ?if so i'd say the switch mechanism is worn so have to be replaced as no repairs are available

Testimonial: "everything feels and looks ok the right side works but the left only work sometimes. if i bang on the lower dash it will sometimes come on. all blubs are new."

  • steve May 18, 2014

ok the bang on the dash could indicate a loose connection somewhere between the switch and the flasher relay , if you put the 4 way flashers on do both sides work ok ? if so this rules out the flasher relay so it will be a loose/faulty connection between the switch and relay , strip down steering coluum cowling to gain access to the wiring looms and push home the connectoe to the switch and follow this loom as far as you can looking for any conector along the loom and making sure it is puhed home , also push the wire at either side of the connector blocks , as a wire could not be making contact even if the connector is pushed fully home , keep me posted good luck

SOURCE: Turn signal doesn't always work Jeep Grand Cherokee 2003

Had same problem with 2003 JGCL, found problem in turn signal relay. You will not like digging for it, because you will have to remove two peices of dash board, peice below instrument panel and knee board (2 bolts on bottom and 2 screws on top). The relay is the long cube, top center above the main fuse box.

SOURCE: 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee horn works sometimes and

You will find the problem in one of three places...Either the horn contacts inside the steering wheel are bad, the relay is sticking or the horn itself has failed or is failing. All give similar symptoms.

How to fix my right brake light and fast moving turn signal on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

The most likely problem is two burned out light bulbs. A burned out tail/stop lamp on the right side and a burned out brake lamp on the left. If you have already replaced the bulbs, then yes, the circuit boards are the next most likely cause of the problem.
