Napa has a universal tranny fluid, Valvoline Max Life, that will work just fine in you're car, you don't have to buy the Dealer stuff if you're not under warranty (although I think this is covered under warranty).

Read the owners manual. The manual outlines the quantity and the grade (type) of transmission oil required.

Where do I put my transmission fluid in an automatic transmission/Automatic...

Most, if not all vehicles require the fluid in an automatic transmission, or automatic gearbox, to be added through the dipstick tube (the tube where the fluid level is checked from).
It more often than not requires the use of a small funnel. Most service station attendants are trained in this procedure.
Always use the fluid type recommended by the manufacturer, and fill to the proper level. Since the fluid is added through the dipstick tube it may take some time to get an accurate reading, due to the residue left by the new fluid.
Transmissions and Gearboxes give a more accurate reading after the vehicle is warm, or has been running/driven for at least fifteen minutes.

If this has been of any assistance, kindly rate it accordingly. Thank you.

What kind of transmission fluid is required for nissan murano

The Murano uses a special CVT fluid that is available only at your dealership. 1 Qt cost me around 17.00 a few years back for my 06 Murano. The fluid is perfectly clear-unlike other transmission fluids and is designed just for the CVT.

DONT USE GEAR OIL IN A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. it will blow your seals out. the gear oil is too heavy and will block passages in the tranny

My car has a new clutch but the shifting feels stiff. Not the clutch but the actual shifter. Is this perhaps a fluid problem? If so where do I look to check it and what kind of fluid would i add?

You may be low on transmission fluid. When your fluid is low or is old it makes the shifting a little rough. It can cause grinding or just make it hard to shift from gear to gear. I would get the fluid checked to see if it is low. You need to consult an owners manual to find out what kind of fluid it requires. There are many different weights and types and if you use the wrong one you can damage seals on your transmission.
