Question about 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis
This has to be done by ford dealership. There's a ignition key immobilizer around the ignition cylinder that isn't recognizing the chip in the key, also the p.c.m doesn't recognize the immobilizer.this all has to be paired by a ford computer. Doing roadside assistance I have ran into this problem several times and if you look in your owners manual it will tell you how to reset it. Some of the cars you have to wait up to 10 min. with the key in the ignition and try again. The light will go out. READ carefully our owners manual.

Either something came lose as it was not installed properly or something was dropped in the column to jam things up

now my car wont start at all the theft light on the dash flashes rapidy when ignition is on it will crank but not run??
