How to unlock gear stuck in park mode in a mercedes c220 cdi auto

It sounds like you parked on an incline.the parking pawl is a bolt which is activated during park and if the car is allowed to roll against it ...I.e. If someone releases hand/ foot brake then it is very hard to release the park selection as it gets licked from normal free will need someone to rock or push the car towards the the incline to enable the pressure to release off the parking it's an automatic I believe you can't do this without the engine running....but I would actually try to release the park before starting car by the above method.

Hi, husband is stuck in Target's parking lot. Mercedes S500 key fob will not open doors. Does not have an extra threaded key. Any advice?

Should be possible to physically open the passenger side door lock with the key alone. Also try this, press the key fob to your chin when activating it. Sounds crazy but sometimes using your body as an extension of the transmitter can assist the signal from the fob even if the battery is on its last legs. Don't knock it until you try it.

ML320 will not shift out of park

More than likely you have faulty brake switch thats not allowing the gear shift solenoid to release. This is fairly common on the Benz.
Look for a circular spring loaded cap to the rear of the shifter indicator on the consol and if its there use a ball point pen to push IN and that should release the Park Lock...
This will get you by until you can have repairs made.
Check the Owner's Manual under Practical Advice on how to release the gear lever from PARK for more info.
Good luck..i hope this helps...please take time to rate me a fixya.

Gear shift stuck in neutral when moving to park

1st check your shifter linkage-does the indication coincide with your gear recognition display in instrument cluster? most liley if it is not the linkage the gear recognition swith inside your shift box is defective-usually they get soda or coffee spelled on them and malfution. I would recomend having you car scanned for codes.
