SOURCE: 2000 lincoln ls heater not working...thermostat?

- If temp guage reads normal, the lack of heat may be due to the Heater Control Valve. Located in front of the radiator. Lower passenger side. A real bugger to replace.
- The plastic cap just over the thermostat is key in re-filling the anti freeze and bleeding air.

SOURCE: My 2005 Lincoln LS V6 has a message that says srvc P

The message means the electric park brake needs serviced. In this case I feel that considering the ac problem, the Coolant Control Valve is defective. The valve can create RF interference that messes with the electronics of the park brake system. The Coolant Control Valve is located at the right side bottom of the radiator fan shroud and has 3 heater hoses connected to it.

Blower resistor location

It's actually behind the glove compartment. To get to it, look below the glove compartment and you wiil see a black duct. On the right side of that duct is a plastic rivet. Pry the rivet out with a putty knife. Once it is out of the way, follow the blue and black wires to the power resistor. Unplug the harness and unscrew the two screws. You will then have to wiggle it out. Thanks for using Fixya.
