IN THE SITE YOU SENT ME IT SAYS: Always refer to the system capacity specs in a shop manual or other source to determine how much refrigerant is required. WHERE WOULD I FIND THAT?

Http:// Here is a write up on the recharge procedure. Hope this helps, keep me posted, be glad to help. Just be careful not to over charge the system, that will result in a damaged A/C compressor.

There is a sticker on the blower housing in the engine compartment. If the recharge kit you have has a gauge that's good, Just follow the instructions on the recharge kit. The low side should have 30psi to 50psi, that's the line your going to be charging from. If you have the simple gauge on that came on the kit, just fill till the needle is in the green and not on the red. The high side should be 150psi to 200psi but i don't think you can check that with the kit you have. Once charging the system and the gauge still is in the low pressure area, just add another 12 ounce can. I recharged my brother's A/C system a week ago and it took 4 cans in his car, then i found out he was trying to recharge the system but ended up draining it. The hose was not tight enough where it connects to the can and was loosing the R143a. Always double check your work. Keep me posted. Be glad to help.

Im trying to recharge my ac in my 91 nissan pickup and im pretty sure i know where the lowside ac port is but the hose adapter from my recharge kit does not fit snugly on the fitting?

Your 1991 will have R12 refrigerant in it unless it has been retrofitted to the newer R134a refrigerant. If it is still factory original then you will need to retrofit it to the new refrigerant, or see if you can find some R12. R12 has been discontinued years ago and if you can find it it is very expensive.

A/C in 1995 Chevy pickup isn't working

Do you hear any loud whinny sounds from your compressor? if so it may need replacing. You might also want to check the AC sensor, and the AC switch module.

Ac compressor won't kick on

Just had the same issue and posted. Just found the solution is the control module in the dash. Went to the junk yard since new is expensive on these units. Plugged new unit in, was able to charge a/c now blows cold as ice.
