Do a computer search for " utube video pontiac 2000 gp cam sensor change". There may or may not be a video for this repair. But try the search to find out if there is one.

Check the catalytic converter. If it is clogged, it will reduce your your power and increase the temp of the car, especially on steep inclines.

I have a 2004 Pontiac grand Prix. It cranks but won't start. I took off the spark plug wires like I watched in a video and saw nothing.I was driving it and the car just cut off and won't start back up

could be a cam/crank sensor problem
could be a broken timing belt/chain not working the sensors
run the fault codes to determine the problem area

I changed cam position sensor because it shorted out the elect system, change battery cables to starter and fused box still have the battery light still on

You need to have your alternator checked. It charges your battery while the car is running. Your battery light comes on when the battery is low on power. You alternator may be weak or not working at all. I would have it tested.

Need to know how many sensor. is on my transmission.. 2003 Pontiac Montana v 6 .. can you show me picture where transmission control solenoid goes?

There are 12 common sensors and 10 internal sensors. The most common that often fail (MAP), (TPS), (CAM), (IGN), (CRANK) MAP is your mass air flow which is located at the beginning of your air intake, TPS is the throttle body position sensor, the CAM is the cam shaft position sensor (transmission), IGN ignition position sensor and the CRANK sensor is located near the bottom driver side front

ABS light is on and no traction light is on. I have a Pontiac Grand Prix 2001 gt. Light stays on always. I don't feel a problem with the brakes.

Check around all wheels to make sure the wires going to the wheel are intact and plugged in tightly. I had the same thing on my 2000 G.P. GT, in my case it was just a broken wire to one of the wheels.
