The navigation system will want reprogramming to your area. To do this you will need a disk and to locate where the reader is, normally found in the glove compartment. Your local Honda dealership should have the disk or be able to find one. insert and all should be good.

SOURCE: code radio honda civic 2004

you will need the radios serial number which is located on top of the unit itself. Then take that number and any Honda dealer will be able to give you the new code. Sometimes it is on a sticker with your owners manual. i am still a tech and we run into this all of the time on Hondas.

2004 civic hybrid p0700, p0717 my car don'ts walk

the P07 codes are TRANNY.
errors from the TCM (tranny brain)
your tranny is sick.
check all fuses.
that is a hybrid, take it to handa and get that very complex car fixed.
got a CVT tranny, if you dont know, then you only have 1 choice.
take it in.
my guess is its a reg. A/T transmission (planetary gears)
700
Engine running and the PCM detected an Automatic Transaxle fault.

Radio volume control

you got bad pot. we techs all know pot, (dope is for dopes)
there is no p/n (sure there was, back when) Pot might be NEC? or other brand, and they don't market parts here. like that. no now.

the radio is from Japan (my guess)
and the part is from a supplier, long gone, i bet. (not co. but line of parts, pots are like buggy whips , today.)

newer cars dont have pots. (they have the digital equivalent)

the real problem is finding the correct physical size and ohms.
can be vary hard, has always been. and 10x that if GANGED.
in most cases even the radio maker don't sell parts.
i'd look on mouser.com
and at mcmelectronics.com, top seller of radio and disk player parts.

try cleaning and lubing,it, mcm sells pot cleaner.

No codes just service engine soon light

Many codes can't be read with a generic scanner.. the cheak engine light can be on for a computer problem that the computer can't display codes for some reason. Power can be shorted to the check engine light wire and put it on for a non computer issue. ( someones wired in a radio and got into the wrong wires)

Land rover 2004 radio says alert wont change

In order to fix you need the code, typically the code is in the owners manual somewhere. Otherwise you can get the radio code from the dealer. I have seen this problem about 10 times and the code has always worked. Hope this helps!

I can not find my radio code. My battery went dead last night and now my stereo does not work (Error 5). I am not the original owner and it appears I did not receive the code for the radio. The VIN is...

Thanks for the information. You will need it at some point.

Records for your radio, are at the dealer that the vehicle was purchased.

You should be able to take the vehicle to a dealer for a bypass code but that would be Honda specific if it is available.

Keep in mind as you get it fixed, you can have the code disabled later so you don't have the issue in the future if you desire it.

Cd player quit working after i changed the battery radio still works fine.

kzingraff, I have a similar situation to Craig Waldie. I have a 2005 Durango and the CD player has not worked since I replaced the battery. Just like his 2004, the radio works perfectly, just not able to use the CD player. How can this issue be fixed?

You'll have to call the dealer, give them the VIN number, and then they can give you the lock out code. This is the only way you'll be able to unlock the radio. Honda's infinite wisdom!
