Either you're battery is going dead slowly. Or bad cables. Check both. If that doesn't fix, bigger problems...

Check the belt on your alternator it may by loose, if not that check the output of your alternator if under 12 volts change it. if that is ok then check your battery it may on its way out ,and not holding the charge.

Testimonial: "It's not the battery or alternator because i can cross it over on the starter and motor will turn over good. Everything seems good,The key turns on the way it should but when i turn the key to start it all the dash lights will go out and than about 4 or 5 seconds later they will come back on. The fuel gauge and pump doesn't work when i turn the key on."

then the next step is check for loose cable connections but check your fuses first in case loose contacts

2002 chev impala will not start, will not crank over and lights will go out when i try and start it

Have the battery tested if no good replace. Check for power at the starter cable and then while someone holds the key in the crank position check for power at the trigger wire of the starter. If you have power but no crank or click then you may have a bid starter or the engine is seized. If no power on the tarter little wire which comes from the ignition switch make sure you fuses and relay is good and that your ignition switch is working. If the battery tests good have your alternator checked as well. The cluster may act erratic if battery is low or bad.

2001 Chev Malibu. Turn key on to start car, won't start. No warning lights on no lights on gauge panel. Radio works, dome light work.

check the ground leg to your engine.. it runs off the neg. battery terminal. will connect to frame and engine.. pull it off, wire brush it put it back.. you radio will work, 'cause it draws much less current, and is grounded in dash.

98' Cav.. Drove it to store, shopped, didnt leave anything running or turned on. Went to car, opened dr...no dome light (thought, hmph, must have burned out -- fix later). Tried to start car... I turned...

this sound to me like at first I thought it was a fuse, as the problem went on it shifted more toward a weak cell in the battery, if a weak cell sits for a little while the battery will not hold the charge in that cell and that will cause loss of power, "its charge", in tne other cells. you had mentioned you used another battery and it ran great but when the battery was removed, things went wrong. You may check to see if there is water in your battery

When start car all gauges go to max then drop down to normal.

there is a fuse for the dome lights that has no power you need to check it for power. it shold have power all the time, it feeds the radio, dome lights, power locks, and keyless entry.

Truck won't start, new battery, lights keep flashing

Sometimes the new battery is not 100% charged. Put it on a charger or jump start the car, the alternator should then charge up the battery.
