You will need a cam bearing removal and installation tool for the job. It will be necessary to pull the engine as there should be a welsh plug at the rear where the cam shaft runs so that the rear bearing can be knocked out . This tools fits on the end of a long drift and is placed on the face of a bush/bearing and is knocked out . Starting from the front and moving rearward until the last one is out Fitment is the reverse . fitting the last one first and working back to the front one. The tool will be made by auto tool manufacturers like AWB tools are a specialist tool shop.. To make sure you should get a workshop manual as there may be tricks that will catch you out --like where the oil hole in the shell has to point before installing.

How to aliane marks on cam shaft pulley on mazda protege 2002

1. Remove all spark plugs so that the crank shaft could be rotated easily.
2. Rotate the crankshaft to align the timing mark of the crankshaft gear with the index mark on the engine cover.
3.Rotate the crankshaft +/- 30 degrees to ensure that the valve could not hit the pistons when aligning the camshaft gears.
4. Align the camshafts as described below.
5. Align the crankshaft timing gear with the index mark.
6. Loose and lock the timing bearing at its farther position. Install a timing belt starting from the crankshaft gear, then right cam, then left cam, and at last the timing bearing.
7. Press and hold the timing belt to keep it firm on the gears and loosen the timing bearing. It will get adjusted by itself with the help of spring attached to it. Do not put extra force on the bearing to adjust it more.
8. Confirm the timing marks.

Isuzu V6 sparkplug firing order

gee guy, 3.1L or 3.2L?
you only need 3 things to time the distrib. static.
where is #1, its the most forward cylinder, LOOK carefully.
forward means closest to the cam drive end of engine.
not flywheel end.
rotor rotation direction (crank and watch it)
now the order, 3.2l v6? IS It? the single cam?

Camshaft torque isuzu 6ve1

wow, no year stated,
the cam has a front drive, bolt torque and cam bearing cap torque.
The 6VE1W 3.5L DOHC 24V V6 was introduced in 1998 with 215 hp (160 kW) and used until 2004 with the termination of the Isuzu Axiom. Gasoline direct injection was added for 2004 only and boasted output to 230 hp (172 kW). This was a stroked version of the 6VD1.

ill answer for 1998, rodeo 3.5L
alldata.com , try reading all the steps, not just torque . RTV steps
and sequence, of cap torque.

answer for caps
  1. Apply RTV gasket material to the mating surfaces of the cam bracket and head. Do not allow the gasket material to protrude.
  2. Install the caps and bolts. Torque the bolts, in sequence order, to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm).

I have 95 s10 4.3 v6 experiencing a loud knock/ pinging noise. Sounds like it coming from under the intake. Truck runs fine still has good power but still pings when driving. I disconnected each sparkplug...

About the only thing that comes to mind is a cam bearing.
You could have a bearing seized on the cam and turning in the block.
A piston rod or bearing would have changed tone by pulling the plug wires. Valve noise would not have changed but you would usually have a dead cylinder if a valve was stuck.

Oil leaking from toyota camry 1992, 1994 model

You don't say what engine it has. The 4-cyl was a better than the V6 for oil leaks.

The V6 had oil leaks from

-rear bank cam cover gasket

-distributor o-ring seal

-oil filter bracket o-ring seal

-crankshaft nose oil seal (less common)

-rear main bearing oil seal (expensive, just leave it)

The 4 cyl leaked oil from

-distributor o-ring seal

-camshaft cover gasket

-rear main bearing seal (expensive, leave it)
