SOURCE: mazda tribute abs fault. abs

These vehicles have a recall on the ABS system for faulty wiring. You may want to check with your local dealer to see if your vehicle is included.

SOURCE: Mazda 6 oil change

If DPF means Diesel Particulate Filter, no you don't need to change this cartridge. Somewhere near 120000Km you have to refill the additive tank with Eolys additive.

I have had the same problem with my Mazda 6, I had done 22500 miles when a light popped up. SO i persisted to go to mazda who much like yourslef told me my driving style is wrong. Which i thought was ludacris. After an expensive diagnostics they said it was due to my egr vavle causing my Diesel Particulate Filter to Block. That was it then they put a £4000 bill if i wanted the parts done in front of me. I laughed out of shear disbelief. I then persisted to look around and noticed on Fixya some one saying about the same problem. They said they had found a company happy to help. SO i persisted to call them, I even asked for the name that was put on the system Darrell i believe, i have to say for someone that doesnt work for mazda i think he should so informative, Unfortuantly the other person said the new part was £500 but darrell told me that the price was £603 allm in with a surcharge, (certainly alot better than mazda anyway). I toyed with the idea for a little while and bit the bullet and ordered it with then. 4 days later a new DPF arrived, 2 days later i took to mazda who said much like Darrell that i must replace the EGR valve and do a full engine oil Flush. I told them to go ahead i paid about 300 for the egr valve and all in all cost me just over a grand. My point is Darrell told me of a good maintenance procedure for these vehicles. Instead of buying a new car as this one aperently "isnt right for me" he told me to once a week blast it through the whole reg range. Since then 5 months on no problems what so ever thought i would share this info with you guys as it seems quite a common fault. Darrell number and company name are 0844 880 4149. Hope this helps some people

Why does dpf light come on every 400 miles after reset

There is no resetting anything

All you did was clear all emission monitors
& all data

You have to find & fix a problem or the dash lights
& fault codes come back

"I have a Mazda Bongo Brawny RF6C Diesel Engine with DPF, it showed an Engine Light, and I changed oil, oil filter, diesel Filter. I started it it picked but the engine light did not go...and I tried

you are going to have to plug in a diagnostic reader and find out what the problem is or to shut off the light . You could also drive it for 300KM and it should reset itself

Dpf full warning light

Whenever this warning or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module has detected a fault, it then disables the system as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

I have a 55 plate Mazda 3 with a Error Code of P2584 Fuel Additive Control Module Requested MIL Illumination. Any pointers as to the possible fault?

Hi there:
This means the DPF additive needs topping up/re-filling. This additive is injected into the engine with the diesel to clean out the DPF filter (automatic system).

These fault codes appear when the additive level has dropped too low preventing the automatic injection of additive.

The cure is to have the additive re-filled, and the DPF 'primed' using Mazda diagnostic equipment.

Check HERE additional details.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

5 series' of 5 beeps in a row on start up

Check the Air Bag Indicator Light. When you turn the car on it should stay on for 6 seconds and then turn itself off. If a fault is detected in the system operation check, the indicator light will either fail to light, stay on continuously or flash. The flashing may not start until up to 30 seconds after the initial systems check.

If there is a fault in the system AND the air bag indicator light fails to light then an audible tone will alert you- it will be a set of 5 chimes (bells/beeps) five times in a row.

Have the Air Bag serviced and the indicator light bulb changed. Since the dash will be off in order to change the bulb, I would have all of the other dash lights changed at the same time. If one goes out, others will surely follow.

Good luck!
