Question about 2005 Ford Taurus

Minor squeeling noise occurs when front defogger is turned on for 2005 Ford Taurus

Originally thought that the described squeeling sound was from the blower motor going bad. However I noticed that the noise only occurred when the front defogger was engaged. If I have the blower on for only air circulation, there is no squeeling sound. I popped the hood, and turned on the blower, there was no noise. Listened and observed the engine compartment, and everything seemed to be operating ok. Then I turned on the front defogger, and squeeling/squeaking sound appeared to start/continue around serpentine belt/alternator area. I don't think that it is a blower problem but not sure. Could it have something to do with serpentine belt, alternator, or even a compressor problem?

SOURCE: 2004 Ford Taurus V6 noise underhood appears to be belt

Sounds like a bad idler pulley,or belt tensioner. Most likely not water pump since the check engine light is not on. Altho it couold be the water pump and for some reason (bad sensor, burnt out light) the check engine isnt coming on. Either way it would be best to have it looked at.

SOURCE: AC system, compressor not engaging.

Sounds like your a/c system is low on freon, system has a low pressure switch which disables a/c compr.so that it don't damage a/c compr, it would be kind of like running an engine with on oil it would damage an engine, what needs to be done is have dye injected in to a/c system to be able to fine the leak, once leak is found can be repaired and recharge with freon, system will work good after repair has been done.Good luck

How do I replace a outside minor on a 2005 ford Taurue

There are three bolts that hold it on. PLus the wiring. The triangle above the door panel pops loose, behind the mirror bracket. Be careful, it has a tab that goes down behind the door panel. Pop it loose, you can pull it down far enough to access the 10mm nuts.

I have a 1990 Ford Taurus and my blinkers don't

blinkers sounds like the flasher unit is not working. It's located under dash. Also check for burnt out bulbs.
Rear defrost, or rear defogger?: Your defogger for the rear window would run off a relay, probably located in the fuse panel of your car. Often, the connections at the rear window get broke or disconnected.
Front defrost: does your heater blower work?

2001 ford taurus a/c compresser was squeeling, we put on new compressor and it worked great and then started the squeeling again. I was told this might be a part called an accumalator or something. Since...

It sounds like the head presser is to high...this will cause the compressor to stall, makeing the belt squeel...the accumalator should have been changed with the compressor...if accumalator is bad, it probably clogged the orifis tub and this is were the blockage is...An accumalator "aka" (dryer) has a carbon filled bag in it....this takes moister out of the a/c freon, the bags are knowen to brake open...
I'am sure your compressor is OK, have the system completely flushed and change the accumalator and orifis tube and you should be good to go....
Sure hope this is some help to you ?

Loud noise in front left tire 2004 Ford Taurus SES

You mentioned the noise was from the left (drivers side) front. The compressor is on the passenger side in association with the engine compartment. Question, once the noise starts does it continue while stopped or only while moving?
