I take it you mean the A/C pressure line. The low side should be between 30PSI to 50PSI and the high side should be between $150PSI to 200PSI. Any other readings will have poor A/C performance, and to high will result in A/C compressor damage. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted be glad to help and if the low side is less then 10 PSI then the system will need to be vacuumed out due to possible moisture contamination.

In my 2005 Pontiac Montana the OBD code reader reads code PO108 - Manifold absolute pressure sensor circuit, high input. What can cause this.

The PCM detects that the MAP sensor voltage is more than 4.3 volts for 3 seconds.
This DTC may set due to poor idle characteristics. A possible cause may be uncontrolled fueling due to an open or high resistance in the HO2S 1 low signal circuit. Before replacing any component, ensure that this condition does not exist.
2
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Monitor the DTC information with the scan tool.
Is DTC P0641 also set?

YES - Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
NO - Go to Step 3
3
Observe the throttle position (TP) sensor parameter with the scan tool.
Press the accelerator pedal slowly until the throttle is in the wide open position.
Release the accelerator pedal slowly until the throttle is returned to the closed position.
Repeat this procedure several times.
Does the TP sensor parameter increase steadily to more than the first specified value, and then decrease steadily returning to less than the second specified value?

My 2005 Pontiac Montana occasionally wants to run hot when sitting still in traffic. Had it checked at mechanic and they cannot find anything wrong. Levels are fine, no leaks, fan works. Ideas???

thermostat sticking. pressure cap (radiator cap) to low release pressure. Pressure work like this water boil at 212F each pound of pressure cap = 3 degrees F . then a 15 psi cap is 15 x 3 = 45F so it means that water coolant will boil at 212F +45F + antifreeze boiling point.

2005 montana blowing hot air out of a/c

If it had to be charged, it probably has a leak. Check low side pressure. If low, repair leak and recharge. If pressure is good, please get back to us for next troubleshooting step.

Need location for 2003 Pontiac Montana AC low pressure switch

Hello, this vehicle doesnt use a cycling switch. it uses a pressure sensor. this compressor runs all the time. there is a expansion valve that controls the amount of freon entering the evap core. here is how the compressor uses a pressure senor

The A/C refrigerant pressure sensor is a 3-wire piezoelectric pressure transducer. A 5-volt reference, low reference, and signal circuits enable the sensor to operate. The A/C pressure signal can be between 0-5 volts. . When the A/C refrigerant pressure is low, the signal value is near 0 volts. When the A/C refrigerant pressure is high, the signal value is near 5 volts.
The A/C refrigerant pressure sensor protects the A/C system from operating when an excessively high or low pressure condition exists. The PCM disables the compressor clutch under the following conditions:
• A/C pressure is more than 2979 kPa (432 psi). The clutch will be enabled after the pressure decreases to less than 1620 kPa (235 psi).
• A/C pressure is less than 179 kPa (26 psi). The clutch will be enabled after the pressure increases to more than 207 kPa (30 psi).

Where is the air conditioner refrigerant refill port located on 2002 pontiac montana?

Look near the radiator and find the 2 aluminum lines running from the condenser. If you trace those lines you will find a fitting on each of them. There should be a cap on them one says H or high and the other L or low. One is the high pressure line and the other is the low pressure line. Please be careful fooling with the AC system can be very dangerous to you and your car. The last thing you want is a face full of prion. Or to blow up your AC system because you over charged it. Good luck.
